the other day i was looking at some old photos of my wife as a young witless teen.
several of the pictures were taking at assemblies and gatherings/weddings.. what amazed me is that she looks better today than she did as a witless teen or early twenties.
i don't mean just the expression on her face, but also the way she was dressed.
I'm a naturally cheerful person, but had to force it a lot in the org. due to the atmosphere of no one really wanting to be there (meetings, assemblies, service).
I was a very conservatively dressed JW to the point of showing no body shape at all when dressed for meetings.
My nature is a fun loving hippie/rocker/witch/punk, so I dress according to my current mood.
The photos are clearly different.
JW me smiled in resignition to being a JW under the thumb of my family .
Non-JW me is nuts with happiness, and it shows in every picture

looking into the history of frontier america is so interesting when written in story form.. i read from most genres.. what's your poison?.
I find that the e-readers allow one to read really thick, heavy books, like Under the Dome and The Stand.
Those left bruises on my chest when I read them in bed.
I downloaded the Bible in English and Spanish, too.
Still think the Bible is a good read for culture and some history's sake.
I love how I can jump around to different books to try them out.
